Although our current tiles are quite polished, they come from humble beginnings. In this post we’ll take a look at the transformation of several environment assets over the past months.
Below is a side by side comparison of some key tiles. On the left is some of the earliest concepts for the tilesets. These early tiles were an attempt to define a style for System Siege. On the right is the current tile assets. As one can see, the style has changed significantly:

Although there has been some significant changes in levels of detail, saturation, and style; elements such as the colour pallete have remained relatively similar. Hopefully, it is interesting to see the influence the rough placeholders had on our current tiles!
